Everyone knows about Asheville's historical landmarks and fantastic parks and trails. But the city doesn’t slow down when the sunsets. It hosts a plethora of top-quality bars, breweries, and music venues if you are looking for a place to celebrate graduation with friends or family.

Host Your College Graduation Celebration at a Dueling Piano Bar

One standout venue in the Asheville area for a unique and rocking event is the Off The Wagon Dueling Piano Bar. If you have seen a dueling piano show before, you know how crazy and fun-filled of an evening it can be. If you haven’t experienced this type of performance, you are in for a treat.

Dueling pianos are exactly what it sounds like. Two performers sit down opposite each other and do their best to wow the audience by performing a playlist sourced directly from the audience. Our musicians have a repertoire of thousands of songs, so just try to stump them; we dare you. If it is a popular or upbeat song from the last 50 years, they likely know it.

Crowdsourced playlists can get a little hectic, especially when an actual party happens. Here’s a little info on how our show structure works.

• While we take any request, we focus on popular upbeat hits from the last 50 years of radio that the entire audience can sing along to.
• The generosity of the tip dictates the song order. Example: $5 requests will always go ahead of a $2 request. So it might take a while to get to requests if people jump the line with a larger tip.
• If you have stumped our performers, and they don’t know a song, we return those requests and tips about twice an hour or will provide you with “store credit” for another song.
• We have a money-back guarantee. Let us know if you don’t think our performers' rendition of a song was up to par, or we don’t get to it on a busy evening. We keep the tips tied to requests.
• The show starts at 7 pm Friday and Saturday (8 pm other days) and lasts for as long as the crowd is rocking, or until our performers lose their voices.

If you are hosting a party with us, be prepared, there’s a good chance you might end up as part of the show. Let us know if your college or university has a fight song you would like to hear so our performers can brush up beforehand. 

And, be prepared to face down your college rivals. You never know who might show up to celebrate.

Our Bar Service

Located in historic downtown, we aren’t just a music venue. We have some of the most delicious drinks in the region. With a full range of liquors, drafts, wine, and champagnes on offer, we are sure to have something for everyone. Our signature shot, the Jet Fuel, is served in authentic 30mm shells fired from a GAU-8 Avenger that’s onboard the mighty A-10 “Warthog.”

We don’t serve food, so make sure to have a good dinner beforehand or bring in your favorite takeout. No food means we need to operate as a private bar. But with a reasonable membership fee of only $1. 

While we have a few rules, they exist only to ensure you have a great time in a safe environment. At least one of your group must be a member in good standing for admission, and all guests must be 21 years or older.

Venue Details

Constructed in the early 1920s, this building was originally the Asheville Chamber of Commerce just off Market Street. There is ample parking for our patrons after 5 pm daily in adjacent lots; just make sure to snag a parking pass. You can also find on-street and nearby parking garages.
